ARTIST SNAPSHOT:

Daniel is an award-winning American composer commissioned and performed by major classical artists and ensembles worldwide.  Writing for orchestras, chamber groups, singers, and inter-arts collaborations, Daniel’s music is deeply authentic, moving listeners with its visceral intensity and subtle beauty.

Influenced by formative training in percussion and philosophy, Daniel explores the relationship between notation, performance, and interpretation, with pieces centering humanistic themes of nature, connection, empathy, and listening experience (phenomenology).

A passionate educator, Daniel has been a faculty member of several universities and festivals, and a guest lecturer at over 25 global institutions.  He serves the new music community as a curator, performer, awards panelist, and author.

COLORS (Album Release & Concerts)

Daniel’s debut album COLORS will be released on Orchid Classics in March 2024. Bringing together an all-star cast of internationally recognized chamber musicians, the album features six solos, duos, and trios which receive their world premiere recordings.

Celebrating the album release, the CRYPT SESSIONS in NYC will present the album and its performers in two live shows at the Church of the Intercession on March 25 and March 26.
